COVID-19 Information
02/11/2020
Like everyone else, we have had to make some changes to the way we work in response to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. The aims of these changes are:
To minimise the risk of transmission between people at the clinic.
To safeguard provision of veterinary care for urgent and emergency cases.
In accordance with the latest advice from the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons, we are now able to see certain 'routine' cases as well as urgent and emergency cases in person. However, we are still here for you for any other concern you have about your animal. For non-emergencies, we still offer phone consultations so we can assess your pet without putting you or our staff at risk. The rules on remote prescribing of prescription medications have been temporarily relaxed, so we can prescribe on the basis of a phone consultation, whereas we usually would not be allowed to do this. Medications can be posted 2nd class recorded delivery or delivered by us rather than being collected from the practice, unless they have to be refrigerated or are needed very urgently, in which case we ask you to follow the no-contact policies below.

Sometimes its difficult to know how unwell your pet is – if you have any concern please don’t hesitate to call us and we will be happy to see you either in person or remotely.

Policies to Reduce the Risk of Transmission:

If you are asked to attend the practice, we have put some no-contact policies in place you keep everyone as safe as possible:
If you have had symptoms of cough or fever in the past 7 days, or anyone in your household has had these symptoms in the past 14 days, please do not attend the practice. Instead, please make arrangements for a friend, family-member or neighbour who does not live with you to bring you animal in.
When you arrive for your appointment, please phone reception to let them know you’re here, then wait outside until a member of staff sees you in.
You will be allowed inside for your pet to be examined.
Thank you for your patience, understanding and support through these difficult times.
